Dallas-Ft. Worth
Make your way to Highway 287 and head north.  At Henrietta, exit on 148 north and go thru the town of Henrietta following signs.  You will find restaurants and stores.  Then, turn right (north) on 148 towards Petrolia. At Petrolia, turn right on Highway 79 and go 5 miles to Byers.  From downtown Dallas, ~135 miles, and from Ft. Worth, ~120 miles.

Oklahoma City area
Head west on I-44 to Chickasha and exit and turn south on 81.  Head to and through Duncan and onto Waurika and turn right on Highway 79 south in Waurika.  Byers is 14 more miles just across the OK/TX border.  Little over two hour drive.

Lawton
There are a couple different ways.  Heading over to and through Duncan on 81 and then to Waurika, then Byers, is probably the shortest.  The other way would take you to Burkburnett on I-44 and then you will have to wind thru country roads for about 25 miles going east from Burk to Byers.

Abilene
Head north on 277 towards Wichita Falls.  As approach west side of Wichita Falls, road turns into 82.  Follow 82 east thru the guts of Wichita Falls and watch for signs to get onto 287 south to Ft. Worth/Dallas.  Only on 287 south for a about two miles and then exit left onto Highway 79 north and you will see sign for Byers 18 miles.

If ya do not get picked up for speeding along 277, drive will be 2.7 hours to Byers.

Amarillo
Head south on 287 to Wichita Falls.  Continue south thru Wichita Falls on 287 and don’t forget to look for the Falls on your right side.  Then, exit left onto Highway 79 north to Byers 18 miles.  Gonna be a good 3.5 hours.

From Austin (5 hours) or San Antonio (6 hours)
Make your way to Highway 281 north.  As approach Wichita Falls, look for signs for Highway 79 north to Waurika, OK.

79 and 287 overlap for a few miles.  Before you get to Waurika, you will find Byers.

Watch going thru all the small towns along 281.

Special Notes of Interest
One of the best catfish places in the area is Bill’s Catfish in Waurika, OK on Highway 79….cannot miss it.  It is about 10 miles north of Byers and 30 or so from Wichita Falls.

Those coming in from Oklahoma will drive right by it.  Not open for breakfast.
