BYERS BICYCLE BASH II
What is it?
The Byers Bicycle Bash II is the second annual 100 km recreational bicycle ride through scenic Clay County. Two shorter routes of 46 miles and 25 miles are also offered. This ride is a fund raising event with all proceeds benefiting the Byers ISD and the Byers Volunteer Fire Department. A free hamburger feed will be held for all registered riders at the end of their Journey in Byers. All rest stops will be first class and fully supported every 10 miles. Sag and some mechanical support will be provided. Average high temperature in May is 82°F with a low of 60°F.

Where is it?
The starting and finishing areas are along Highway 79 North in downtown Byers, TX right near our major sponsor, First National Bank of Byers. All routes will be entirely on the extremely low-traffic, scenic, and rolling hills of northern Clay County passing through Petrolia and Dean. The 100 km route partially overlaps with the 100 mile route of the famous Hotter-N-Hell 100 mile route.
Be sure to check website prior to traveling to Byers for parking information. Byers is a little over two hour drive form OKC and DFW and 18 miles from Wichita Falls and Henrietta. See directions.
Early packet pickup will be at Texoma Cycling Center on Friday, May 15, 2009, 4pm - 8pm.

To enjoy another great cycling experience in the land of the Hotter-N-Hell 100. The Hotter-N-Hell 100 is a Platinum sponsor. The proceeds will benefit Byers School and the Byers Volunteer Fire Department.

Registration
Early registration fee will be $22 per participant with a fee of $15 for all students. After May 9 12:00 noon, all rates go to $25. On-line registration at www.bikereg.com will close at 9:00pm on Thursday, May 14. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 400 early registrants (by May 1). All riders will get the deluxe Byers goody bag including water bottle.

Nearest RV sites are in Waurika (14 miles) and Henrietta (18 miles). More details to come. The Best Western in Henrietta along highway 287 is recommended for folks driving in from DFW and surrounding areas. Call for rates.
